Sample Component Library

The following is a list of the key documents included in xCBL 2.0 and a subordinate listing of their major data elements. These documents are broken down into functional categories. High-level reuse has been minimized and exists only within the categories, not across them. Rather than overloading any given high-level component, the elements tend to be extensions of common types (such as for PricingData) or discrete elements. This approach makes the document's specific use less ambiguous and provides a larger number of extensible types.

xCBL Version 2.0 provides all of the components used to build xCBL 2.0 business documents and the set of business documents described above. Information about the business document and component set is provided in an online structure reference and in the PDF Document Guide found on the xCBL download page.

An upcoming release will include many new document types, including RequestForInformation, OrderRequest, a revised and extended Invoice with more detail and tax information, and several others.
